Living in a Straw House Built by Undiagnosed Neurodivergence

Living in a Straw House Built by Undiagnosed Neurodivergence is both a memoir and a framework for understanding. Through the lens of my own journey—and my daughter’s—we move from collapse, shame, and endless misunderstanding into the clarity that comes when autism, ADHD, and PDA finally have names. This book doesn’t just tell a story; it offers language and perspective for anyone who has felt broken by a world that didn’t recognize their brain.

Raw, honest, and deeply compassionate, this book speaks to parents, partners, and individuals alike. It’s about what happens when demands outweigh abilities, when support is missing, and when survival becomes the daily norm. But it’s also about what becomes possible when we find the right words, the right understanding, and the courage to rebuild with compassion, accommodations, and acceptance.

Wonderfully Wired Series

A gentle, affirming collection of twelve picture books that bring readers into the world of a bright, curious 7-year-old named June. With traits of ADHD, autism, and sensory sensitivities, June’s days are full of big feelings, buzzing thoughts, and endless curiosity. Through cozy storytelling and warm illustrations, children and adults alike are invited to see the world through June’s eyes—where challenges and adventures live side by side, and love and safety make all the difference.

Each book highlights a different aspect of neurodivergence—like sensory overload, rejection sensitivity, executive dysfunction, masking, and more—through child-friendly language and relatable experiences. Whether she’s navigating “The Busy Buzz” of a restless mind, the “Wobbly First Day” of a new routine, or the “Tunnel of Focus” that comes with her deep interests, June’s journey reflects the reality of countless neurodivergent kids. At its heart, this series is a celebration of difference, resilience, and the beauty of being wired in wonderfully unique ways.
